Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Occupational Medicine based within NHS Grampians Occupational Health Service, GO Health Services.
NHS Grampian provides high-quality healthcare services across North-East Scotland, serving over half a million people in the Aberdeenshire, Moray, and Aberdeen City regions.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Consultant to lead and support our Occupational Health Team.
Clinical duties will include management referrals, self-referrals, health surveillance, ill health retirement advice, and post job offer health assessments. This role will involve providing expert advice on OHS matters, contributing to the development of a safe working environment for NHS Grampian employees, and supporting the health and safety requirements of our workforce.
NHS Grampian Occupational Health Service is a modern, progressive multidisciplinary team.
As well as providing occupational health services to NHS Grampian staff, a broad range of external work is undertaken on a commercial basis with other employers and through sub contract arrangements with other private and NHS occupational health providers. We have a strong emphasis on quality improvement and are SEQOHS accredited.
This is a training department with strong links with the University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University and both teaching and clinical research are actively encouraged. We are an enthusiastic service keen to encourage personal and professional development.
The post is based on the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary site. Aberdeen is a particularly attractive area in which to live and work, with a wide range of housing, excellent state and private schooling and extensive sport and leisure facilities. There are good road and railway links and the Scottish mountains are a just short distance away.
Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required. (licence to practise must be in place prior to starting in post). For more information visit www.gmc-uk.org
Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview. Alternatively, applicants should possess a CESR / CESR (CP).
