Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow in Respiratory Medicine based within the Department of Respiratory Medicine at the Royal London and St Bartholomew's Hospitals, Barts Health NHS Trust.
This post is ideal for an aspiring respiratory physician. It will provide the perfect platform from which to experience and display all the skills exhibited of a specialty trainee.
You will be part of a large team of Registrars covering respiratory medicine with an active teaching programme and specialist MDTs including TB, asthma, ILD and lung cancer.
Dependent upon the applicant's experience the post may include the opportunity to join the specialist respiratory on-call rota or the acute medicine rota. There will be the opportunity to attend specialist respiratory clinics and learn bronchoscopy and pleural procedures.
You must hold full registration with the General Medical Council and preferably have at least 4 months experience in respiratory medicine at IMT level or higher.MRCP or equivalent is essential.

Main duties of the job
The advertised post is for a Clinical Fellow in Respiratory Medicine, based in the Department of Respiratory Medicine at the Royal London.
This post is ideal for an aspiring respiratory physician. It will provide the perfect platform from which to experience and display all the skills expected of a specialty trainee.
There will be opportunities to complete clinical audit and small scale research projects with a number of active clinical researchers within the department.
You will be taught how to perform bronchoscopies and would be expected to require limited supervision by the end of your post.
There will be opportunities to perform pleural procedures and access to pleural ultrasound experience.
You will be part of a large team of SpRs covering respiratory medicine with an active teaching programme and specialist Clinics and MDTs including TB, COPD and Specialist Breathlessness.
