Drumnadrochit is surrounded by beautiful glens, including nearby Glen Affric, which is often described as “the most beautiful glen in Scotland”, and popular attractions such as the instantly recognisable Urquhart Castle. The practice is only 15 miles from the city of Inverness, where you will find Raigmore, the main hospital of the Highlands. The village, popular with tourists, includes a pharmacy and a community owned day care centre. which supports older adults within the area of Glen Urquhart and Strathglass. There is a Post Office and supermarket, several restaurants and cafes, and a community owned transport and visitor information centre. Drumnadrochit has both Primary and Secondary schools; Glenurquhart Primary School and Glen Urquhart High School.
