GP Partner

Chrisp Street Health Centre, established in 1987, is a purpose-built facility owned and maintained by the Partners in Poplar, Tower Hamlets. The centre houses 20 clinical rooms, a large educational room, dedicated training rooms for undergraduates, and an administrative wing providing office space for our administrators, secretaries, and managers.

Our core principles are dignity, integrity and humility. We have a strong history of prioritising our patients’ needs and working with them and their families and fighting their corner. We are committed to the model of continuity and relationship-based primary healthcare. Each patient and their family are allocated a named GP upon registration, ensuring they have a consistent point of contact. Patients are strongly encouraged to consult with their assigned GP where possible.

As part of the Poplar & Limehouse Health & Wellbeing Network, alongside 3 other local practices, we work collectively to improve health outcomes in areas such as heart disease, diabetic care and mental health. This collaboration, formed in 2006, helps strengthen healthcare provision in our community and build relationship with our neighbouring practices.  We also have links with ELFT and have helped pioneer the Tower Hamlets Mental Health Transformation with Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams.

Additionally, we are an Approved Training Practice, taking an active role in educating local GP trainees, undergraduate nursing students from City University, and medical students from Barts & The Royal London.
