This is a fixed-term 6-month contract, with an immediate start. HR support will be offered for the accommodation for applicants who do not already live in Cornwall. A good level of postgraduate NHS work experience would be an advantage.

Some previous experience with untunnelled line insertions (independent / supervised) and with outpatient clinics would be an asset. You will require current ALS (or equivalent) and will also be GMC registered with a licence to practice.

You will have access to study leave and the experience will be equivalent to a training post. You will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of the fixed-term posts within the Trust.

Sustainability is integral to the Trust achieving the NHS Net Zero target.

The post-holder must comply with all aspects of confidentiality, professional codes of conduct, the Royal Cornwall Hospitals' Trust Staff Charter and the NHS Managers' Code of Conduct.

Where it is agreed between the parties, work on behalf of the Royal Cornwall Hospitals' NHS Trust such as domiciliary consultations, or services provided by the Trust for other agencies, for example, the prison service (This excludes work done under direct arrangements between an individual doctor and a third party e.g. Category Two).

A willingness to undertake additional professional responsibilities at local, regional or national levels.

The post-holder must at all times carry out their duties with due regard to the Trust's Equal Opportunities Policy. A responsibility to ensure that all colleagues and patients receive the same treatment, care and attention, regardless of race, religion, ethnic origin, gender, marital status, age, sexuality or disability.
