Job Description

Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking team-oriented Psychiatrists to be part of our dynamic and expanding Department in the following Saskatchewan communities: Moose Jaw, Yorkton, Swift Current, Weyburn, Prince Albert and North Battleford.

 The successful candidate will possess a strong team approach and join a collegial multi-disciplinary team and group practice of Psychiatrists within the respective community. Join our team and enjoy a broad scope of practice that includes outpatients, inpatient, acute care and shared call responsibilities.

Relocation Package

• Recruitment and Relocation incentive of C$25,000 may be available for a 3 year return of service commitment.

Job Qualifications

• Candidates must be eligible licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS)
• Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is required A valid drivers license Minimum of 3 acceptable references An acceptable criminal record check with vulnerable sector search Experience providing Generalist Psychiatry services within a catchment model Demonstrable evidence in multidisciplinary approach of care/management Understanding of Saskatchewan provincial laws and regulations of commitment and release of the mentally ill under the Mental Health Services Act would be an asset.
