Job Description
Our client, Prairie Skies Medical Imaging, is Regina’s largest imaging practice. Owned by local radiologists, they have been providing comprehensive imaging services in five community-based clinics, two acute care hospitals, and multiple Southern Saskatchewan health centres for more than 50 years.
Prairie Skies Medical Imaging is seeking a Fellowship-Trained Women’s Imaging Radiologist, or a radiologist with breast imaging experience to perform all aspects of breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and breast procedures. Prairie Skies offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team in a diverse practice environment in both community and acute care facilities. This is a full time, partnership track position that covers primarily daytime shifts with equitable evening and weekend call responsibilities and above average earning potential.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow their breast imaging practice by determining and implementing best practice and policy. Affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan, opportunities are available for research, rounds, teaching, and for an appointment as Associate Professor.
Physicians may have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and post-graduate education at the University of Saskatchewan (USask). The USask campus is located on the shores of the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, a city with a diverse and thriving economic base and a vibrant cultural life. USask is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. It is home to the newly constructed Academic Health Sciences Complex and two of the largest science projects in the country – the Canadian Light Source synchrotron and the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization/International Vaccine Centre. A users group is available for collaborative research with clinical faculty using the $173.5 million Canadian Light Source synchrotron, owned by the University of Saskatchewan.
Job Qualifications
Candidates will possess an MD, or equivalent, be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), and will possess or be eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). International Medical Graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
Incentives
This opportunity may be eligible to receive a C$200,000 incentive.
