Our private practice is looking for a full time, experienced consultant in Infectious Diseases for inpatient and outpatient services. This position includes flexible contract for 1-3 years and relocation stipend. 

Job Title: Infectious Diseases Physician Department: Internal Medicine Reports To: Medical Director

Summary: Bermuda Internal Medicine, Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Infectious Diseases Physician to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients with infectious diseases in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This is a full-time position with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient consultations at the 63 Victoria Street clinic and at the Bermuda Hospitals Board wound care clinic

• Conduct inpatient consultations at the Bermuda Hospitals Board facilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of infectious diseases, including but not limited to HIV, hepatitis, tuberculosis, and soft tissue / bone infections.

• Oversee care provided through ID consulted patients receiving OPAT.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

• Participate in infection control and prevention initiatives including antimicrobial stewardship.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in infectious diseases.

• Maintain accurate and complete medical records.

• Participate in continuing medical education activities. Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution. • Board certification in Infectious Diseases or equivalent. • Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in Infectious Diseases. • Valid medical license to practice in Bermuda. (We will assist in the application process)

• Excellent clinical skills and judgment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:

• Full-time position, On-call after hours by telephone to be shared Compensation and Benefits: • Competitive salary and benefits package.
