First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to consider this vacancy. The time has never been more exciting to join an evolving organisation whose passion and drive centres wholly around improving lives for those with mental health and addiction needs across Greater Manchester (GM).
Due to our continued growth and development and recognising the diverse geographical footprint that we now cover we have recently redesigned our leadership structures resulting in the formation of Care Groups. Our Care Groups will be led collaboratively by a team of senior clinical and operational leaders, working in partnership with other system partners who are empowered to lead the delivery of quality services within a specific locality or grouping of specialist services.
The Trust is currently under the Single Oversight Framework (SOF) 4, and is therefore implementing an ambitious improvement plan, at pace, with support from NHS England and NHS Greater Manchester. Supported by a forward-thinking Board of Directors, and underpinned by a robust accountability framework, this new structure and formation will ensure we can achieve our vision to improve lives, reduce health inequalities, and ensure GM leads the way in the provision of mental health and addiction services for all ages.
Main duties of the job
The Deputy Chief Medical Officer roles are pivotal within the new structures and will function as a team to support the portfolio of the Chief Medical Officer. They will also mirror the embedded triumvirate leadership structures working collaboratively with the Deputy Chief Nurses and the Deputy Chief Operating Officer. The Deputy Chief Medical Officer roles are significant leadership roles and will lead to maintain Professional Standards and deliver and develop quality and effective care to those who use our services.
Are you ready for a new challenge? Do you want to develop your skills further with a package of support to enable you to thrive? We hope these challenging but rewarding jobs capture your imagination and you will be inspired to apply. If you feel this could be you, we would love to hear from you.
If you wish to discuss the roles in more detail, then please do not hesitate to contact the Executive Team via the Chief Executive's office on 0161 357 1326.
