Job Description  

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced 5-session GP Partner to join our well established, hardworking, and dedicated team. 

Perfectly located in beautiful South Devon, Cricketfield Surgery is situated in the bustling market town of Newton Abbot. This is a beautiful county of great contrasts, with two beautiful coastlines, two national parks, and five official Areas of Outstanding Beauty on our doorstep. It has excellent transport links and schools; the vibrant cities of Exeter and Plymouth are close by.

Cricketfield Surgery is an innovative three Partner / 5 Salaried GP PMS teaching practice caring for 10,400 patients with a varied demographic. Our doctors are supported by a dedicated team of Nurses, admin staff, a Strategic Business Manager, and Senior Management Team. 

We support the training of postgraduate GPs, medical students, and nurses, in addition to being involved with various research projects. Due to the combined efforts of our excellent clinical and admin teams we achieve high QOF targets and were rated ‘Good’ by CQC in our last inspection. We work in alliance with other practices in the area and play an active part in the successful Templer Care Network PCN.

The wellbeing of our staff is of the utmost importance and a good work life balance is something that, as a partnership, we value highly. Team meetings are held regularly, and our practice environment has been designed to encourage contact and support within and across all staff groups. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic GP to join our fun and hardworking team, who is not only passionate about the independent contractor model, but also possess a strong commitment to driving efficiencies and quality of care of our patients. We would be equally delighted to welcome an experienced GP Partner, or someone who is considering taking on their first partnership role. Importantly, as we lease rather than own our premises, no buy-in is required.
