You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team at HMP Bullingdon.

This post is initially available for a period of 12 months.

Generally, it houses prisoners on remand and those serving shorter sentences.

Main duties of the job

HMP Bullingdon has a vulnerable prisoner wing, segregation unit and dedicated healthcare wing, housing prisoners with physical and mental health care problems. A GP team treats physical health problems and some patients with less serious mental health problems not requiring Mental Health Team care. The post-holder will be supervised by a consultant forensic psychiatrist. Free parking is available on site. Annual leave starts at 30 days a year plus bank holidays.

The Thames Valley Forensic Mental Health Service (TVFMHS) provides treatment in a range of inpatient settings across the region (Oxford, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes).
