Purpose of the Role:

This post will support the 3 Consultant Paediatric Neurologists based in CHI at Crumlin who provide “around the clock” access to Sub-Specialist Consultant provided medical advice and care for children with neurological problems.  The National model of care for Paediatrics contains, in it's neurology chapter a recommendation to increase the number of Paediatric Neurologists in Dublin to 6-8 Neurologists (1-2 per 100,000 children to serve the new children's hospital as a national referral centre).

Eligibility Criteria:

• Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Paediatrics 

And

Two years certified postgraduate training in Paediatric Neurology

The successful interviewee must be registered as a specialist in the relevant specialty on the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland, within 180 days of the day of interview and before taking up appointment.
