Job Details
A vacancy has arisen for a Dental Core Training Year 1 post split between Restorative Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry at the University Dental Hospital. This fixed term post will commence on 4th September 2024 until 2nd September 2025.
Main duties of the job
This post provides the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience in Restorative Dentistry for the first 6 months together with experience within the Paediatric Dentistry clinic for the second 6 months. This will including treatment planning and managing paediatric patients utilising inhalation sedation where necessary.
Both posts provide the opportunity to gain experience in acute dental practice.

Essential
- BDS or Equivalent
- Current GDC certificate or eligible for registration with the GDC at intended start date
Experience
Essential
- Applicants must have evidence of at least 12 months whole time equivalent (WTE) postgraduate clinical experience to the scope of a dentist by time of post commencement
- Not have previously completed a UK Dental Core Training Year 1 programme, which commenced no earlier than September 2016, by the start date of the post
- Be able to provide complete details of their employment history
- Have evidence that their present level of achievement and performance is commensurate with the totality of their period of training.
