Main duties of the job

The postholder will be expected to undertake all of the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in primary care. In accordance with the practice timetable the post-holder will make themselves available, as agreed, to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, resolving medication queries, and completion of paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. The post-holder will ensure the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
