Job Description

The community of Yorkton, located in the Southeast portion of the province is seeking a team-orientated and professional emergency medicine physician to join the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. As part of the Emergency Medicine team, you will be responsible for providing clinical medical services to individuals presenting to the emergency department, including trauma, stroke, and pediatric care. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Job Qualifications

  • Fellow or eligible for fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in emergency medicine (FRCPC) OR be certified or eligible for certification with Canadian College of Family Medicine Physicians in emergency medicine (CCFP EM)
  • Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
  • Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada
