Cardiologist

Opportunity:

The Department of Medical Affairs - Alberta Health Services, is inviting applications to fill general Cardiology positions for the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre that provide patient care for the Central Zone of Alberta. The successful applicants will join a collegial, well-supported division of nine permanent cardiologists. Interventional Cardiologists are welcomed to apply, however there is currently no cath lab in Red Deer. Start dates are negotiable.

Salary Details:

The average gross income of a Cardiologist in Alberta is $419,000 CAD (£236,000 GBP). Compensation for this opportunity is based on a fee-for-service model and may include additional program stipends. Financial incentives such as reimbursable travel arrangements and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications:

Cardiologists with a UK Certificate of Completion of Training are not required to rewrite any exams in order to be approved for accelerated licensure in Alberta, and can immediately start in independent practice. Learn more about the licensing process on the CPSA website.
