Main duties of the job

There are presently three Consultants in Gynaecological Oncology working in the North Wales Gynaecological Cancer Centre. The proposed timetable for the new Consultant (see below) is a replacement for one of our existing consultants who is retiring.

The post will be based in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. The surgical cancer centre provides an on call service for the gynaecological cancer patients each week. We plan to each cover 1:6 weekends along with our general O& G consultants. However the on-call commitments for this post does not include any general gynaecology or obstetric cover. This is allocated 1.0 sessions. Both the on call and week-end ward round commitments involve prospective cover.
