Our next big discovery could be you

The Institute of Cancer Research, London, one of the world’s most influential cancer research institutes, has partnered with Imperial College London, a world top-ten university, to train the next generation of clinical academics—producing leaders who will discover, develop, and deliver the next generation of treatments, technologies, and methodologies to cancer patients.
The partnership will expose early career clinician scientists to the cutting-edge research culture at both institutions, and is funded through the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Clinical Academic Training Programme.

Applications open for clinical training fellowships

We are now inviting applications to 8 projects for our three-year clinical training fellowships. The successful candidates are expected to register for a PhD in October 2024.

Fellowship awards include UK tuition fees, research expenses, and a clinical salary. These prestigious fellowships aim to support the training of future clinical academic leaders in cancer research, and are exceptional opportunities to expose clinical trainees to world-class training in fundamental cell and molecular biology, therapeutics, radiotherapy, surgery, and also convergence science (through the CRUK Convergence Science Centre at the ICR and Imperial).
