Job Details

We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable, driven and supportive Consultant Gastroenterologist to help our vision to become the best small island-based health and care system in the world.

About the role

The Gastroenterology service on the Isle of Man is currently supported by one Consultant, one Specialty Doctor working at Staff Grade level and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Gastroenterology), along with a Hepatitis C Nurse. Noble’s Hospital offers a modern endoscopy unit which is home to high quality facilities that includes three procedure rooms, single sex recovery bays, decontamination facilities and a dedicated patient reception and waiting area. It offers services for gastrointestinal, urological and respiratory investigations with endoscopes.

The hospital is currently exploring the potential to take part in the Merseyside & Cheshire Cancer Alliance Capsule Endoscopy Network programme to improve the effectiveness of the delivery of capsule endoscopies and the reading of their results.

✔ A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
