Whipps Cross Hospital

One substantive Consultant posts in Chronic Pain Medicine, based at Whipps Cross Hospital, has become available.

The focus of the job plan is on chronic pain medicine by way of clinics and intervention lists. There may also be an opportunity for an anaesthetic theatre commitment depending on wishes of the appointed candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for dynamic individuals with the appropriate skills to join a first class multi-disciplinary team providing the full range of services to the majority of East London and beyond in a progressive London teaching hospital environment.

One substantive Consultant posts in Chronic Pain Medicine, based at Whipps Cross Hospital, has become available.

The focus of the job plan is on chronic pain medicine by way of clinics and intervention lists. There may also be an opportunity for an anaesthetic theatre commitment depending on wishes of the appointed candidate.

The post holder will be an employee of Barts Health and there may be future opportunities or requirements to work at one of the other hospitals in the Barts Health group. The specialty of Pain Management sits within the department of Perioperative Medicine at Whipps Cross Hospital.

Person Specification
Qualifications/Clinical Skills
Essential

  • Full GMC Registration ,FRCA or equivalent
  • 12 months of Advanced pain training- and achievement of APT competencies per RCoA curriculum

Desirable

  • Evidence of extended Advanced Pain training beyond 12 months
  • FFPMRCA Completion
  • Experience of UK healthcare system
  • Academic distinction/prizes
