Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint four substantive consultants in Geriatric and General Internal Medicines. The posts are for 7 and 7.5PAs. Applicants wanting 10PA job plans are encouraged to apply as this can be accommodated.

We’re looking for four colleagues to work with existing consultants to strengthen Geriatric Medicine expertise at the Horton General Hospital. You’ll help provide frailty expertise to the Acute General Medical service at Horton Hospital as well as supporting our other areas of working. The posts will rotate to the John Radcliffe Hospital (four in-patient Geriatric Complex Medicine Units, the community hospitals within Oxfordshire and in perioperative medicine - orthogeriatrics, major trauma, vascular and general surgery). All jobs will include sessions in one of our Same Day Emergency Care units. We offer all Geriatric Medicine outpatient services and applicants will be expected to undertake a regular clinic.

Geratology in Oxford offers acute and community services, innovative outpatient, and ambulatory care for older people. This is a great time to join our dynamic team and become part of a consultant workforce with a reputation for excellence and leadership. We are seeking enthusiastic skilled colleagues to deliver better care for older people.

We work in a flexible modular way that allows the opportunity for ongoing consultant career development. Oxford is a beautiful historic city with much to offer. We have excellent schools and fabulous links to London and major airports.

Candidates are highly recommended to visit the department and hospital and are invited to contact Dr Ku Shah, Clinical Lead for Geratology (01865 231476); Dr Sudhir Singh, Clinical Director (01865 234848).
