Applications are invited for a 12 month GP Specialist Grade post in the Cambridge Liver Unit.
The postholder will be expected to take an active role in hepatitis C case finding and treatment in primary care, provide education, develop innovative ways to support linkage to care and promote elimination of hepatitis C.
Main duties of the job
To be considered, applicants must meet the following essential criteria
- Appropriate experience to be a Specialist Grade in Hepatology
- Have the ability to offer expert clinical opinion on hepatitis C and liver disease
- Be able to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of hepatology patients in a community setting

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
