MASON MEDICAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
Applications are invited for the Mason Research Fellowship, which provides 24 months funding for a qualified doctor to undertake medical research within the United Kingdom. The Fellowship is designed to support doctors working towards a higher degree. It is restricted to those who have qualified in the last six years, i.e. no earlier than 2017. It must be taken up during the calendar year 2024.
The Fellowship provides salary support to a level of £60,000 plus up to £15,000 in running expenses. Applications can relate to any field of medicine.

Terms of appointment
Attention is drawn to the specific requirements set out regarding the duration and the commencement of the Fellowship. All other details regarding, supervision, costings and references are set out in the application form.
Following the closing date, shortlisted candidates may be required to produce more detailed submissions before being invited for interview by the appointing panel. Research projects will be externally reviewed. The following criteria will be taken into consideration in appointing the Mason Fellow:
- The qualities and potential of the applicant.
- The suitability and scientific merit of the project.
- The credentials of the institution in which the research is to be based.
