We have a great opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic middle grade doctor to come and work at Leighton Hospital, Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You will provide general medical care on the core wards including participation on an on-call rota. In return, although not a training post you will be supported by a range of training opportunities.

The post is for a fixed term period until the 31st August 2024

Applicants should have general medicine experience, good communication skills and be a strong team player to provide safe patient care.

Main duties of the job

The main duties will be to support the Consultant in formulating management plans, writing clear instruction in the medical record from review of patients on the ward and clearly stating any routine tasks to be performed. You will be the senior decision maker in the absence of the Consultant on the ward but will know when to escalate appropriately to the Consultant any issues or concerns. The post holder will be included in an on-call rota which incorporates normal days, evenings, twilights, nights and weekend and bank holiday working.
