Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ICU, Women's & Perioperative Services – Cairns, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service 

Remuneration value up to AU$484 807 p.a. (L25 – L27) or Remuneration value up to $443 589 p.a. (L18 – L24), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., plus private practice arrangements.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic, dedicated team of obstetricians and gynaecologists, medical colleagues, nurses, and allied health professionals.  The Staff Specialist, Obstetrics & Gynaecology will be based in Cairns and will provide an effective and integrated service across the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. The position reports to the Clinical Director, O&G and is an integral team member involved in department planning and helping to guide the department’s strategic direction.

Duties/Abilities

As a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist Obstetrics & Gynaecology you will be a valuable and valued team member.  You will work with the Clinical Director O&G to ensure Womens Health services we provide are of the highest standard and delivered safely, reliably and efficiently.
It is a condition of employment for the employee in this role to be, and remain, vaccinated against or non-susceptible to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs): Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (chicken pox) Pertussis (whooping cough) Hepatitis B.
