Salary: 11,000 per annum per session

Job description
Job responsibilities

The Role- We are seeking to recruit a talented and committed general practitioner who will be able to provide excellent holistic clinical care that meets the needs of patients registered at the surgery. As a senior clinician it is expected that the post holder will work with the lead GP to develop a leadership role within the practice. We will also be looking for someone who can foster excellent links across the whole ELFT organisation and every part of the local health and care system. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate personal values that will make them suited to this job, experience of managing change in challenging environments and an ability to relate to both patients and colleagues with empathy and kindness.

The Practice- Cauldwell Medical Centre operates from premises on the Bedford Hospital site and serves a population of 9,400. The practice population are representative of the local Bedford population with a slightly higher than average mental health caseload.

Clinical responsibilities
Essential
  • oWork autonomously and be accountable for their own professional actions
  • oMaintain and comply with the requirements of registration with the GMC and maintain registration on a performers list in England
  • oEnsure they have adequate indemnity insurance in place
  • oUndertake clinical practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver holistic care to people accessing primary care services
  • oEngage in all usual administration activity associated with day to day general practice
  • oMake onward referrals where appropriate
  • oUndertake home visits as appropriate
  • oUndertake telephone triage, video and telephone consultations as needed
  • oKeep up to date with clinical developments, local and national guidance
  • oAs a prescriber engage in all usual activity to ensure safe prescribing
