We are looking to recruit a Locum Consultant Neurosurgeon based in the Neurosciences Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary – a University Teaching Hospital. This will be a one year post. The Department of Neurosurgery is a dynamic, progressive department that provides a full service in the field of Neurosurgery for both in-patients and out-patients from the whole of the Grampian Area and most of the service for the Highland, Orkney and Shetland areas.    

It is likely that the University will accord the honorary status of Clinical Senior Lecturer for these posts.   

Ideally we are looking for applicants who have a good all round experience of general neurosurgical parameters.  

Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of a CCT or CESR(CP) at the time of interview for the post. We are looking to recruit highly motivated and dynamic individuals who can work well as part of a team and contribute to the future of the Neurosciences department.
