Job Details
We are searching for a pro-active and enthusiastic Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our expanding team at Noble’s Hospital on the Isle of Man.
This is an exciting opportunity where you can make a difference and be a part of shaping the Island’s future health services.
About the role and our team
Noble’s Hospital is the Islands’ only District General Hospital, situated on the outskirts of Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man. It is equipped to the very latest standards with a total complement of 171 beds; the site also houses a combined education and training centre equipped with a comprehensive library, study rooms, lecture theatre and a state of the art simulation suite.
You will join our enthusiastic and friendly Emergency Medicine department which is an integral part of the Medicine and Urgent Care and Ambulance Service Care Group. We’re situated next to the Radiology department and scanning suites, including MRI and CT, and benefit from excellent clinical pathology, haematology, and microbiology services.
Noble's Hospital is part of the Cheshire and Mersey Major Trauma Collaborative as an accredited Trauma Unit and major trauma patients are transferred to Liverpool in accordance with defined pathways. Major Trauma has always been a significant part of the workload at the Hospital due to the large numbers of motorsport competitions taking place annually. Manx Care also operates a fixed wing Air Ambulance Service, and during racing periods a helicopter Air Ambulance Service.
If you would like to achieve a fantastic work/life balance with a professionally satisfying job whilst living in one of the safest, least congested and most beautiful parts of the British Isles then this is the job for you!
What can this role offer me?

We recognise the need for all medical staff on the Island to maintain connections with medicine in the United Kingdom, and we provide generous study leave with pay and expenses to attend approved conferences and workshops.
Free on-site parking is available at Noble’s Hospital.
