Salaried GP / GP Partner (5 Sessions) - College Way Surgery

Due to our growing list size, we are looking to welcome a GP to the practice team for up to 5 sessions per week. Consideration will be given to applicants either as salaried, salaried with a view to partnership or as a GP Partner. We are keen to appoint, but the start date can be flexible as we are willing to wait for the right candidate.

College Way Surgery is based in the Somerset town of Taunton, in practice owned, purpose-built premises. Our current list size is over 13,700 and growing due to local housing developments. We are a traditional list-based practice with 11 GP partners working closely with experienced practice nurses who lead Chronic Disease clinics. A salaried GP and Retainer GP join the team in September. As a member practice of Taunton Central Primary Care Network our wider practice team includes Musculoskeletal Practitioners, a Clinical Pharmacist, Community and Care Home Coordinators, and an Open Mental Health Liaison Practitioner.

We work as a supportive, effective, and well led team benefitting from excellent staff retention and an experienced management team. Our doctors meet each morning for coffee, often lunch together and maintain an open-door policy; always willing to answer and ask questions.

We are a long-established training practice, currently hosting GP Registrars and medical students. Three of our GP Partners are GP trainers, and we are currently rated Excellent as a training practice.

We are a high achieving QOF practice, rated Good by CQC overall (Outstanding for Responsiveness) in May 2018 and consistently score highly in the national GP Patient Survey.
