About the role and our team
We are looking for a caring and motivated Radiology Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team on the beautiful Isle of Man!
If you would like to achieve a fantastic work-life balance with a professionally satisfying job, then this could be the role for you!
Opened in 2003, Noble’s Hospital is the Island’s only District General Hospital, situated on the outskirts of Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man. It is equipped to the very latest standards with a total complement of 271 beds; the site also houses a combined education and training centre equipped with a comprehensive library, study rooms, lecture theatre and a state of the art simulation suite.
We are looking for a general radiologist on the specialist register (or be on the specialist register within 6 months of application submission date). Experience in the desired sub-specialities would complement the existing consultant mix, however, all sub-specialities will be considered.
You will be supported by the Radiology Manager, Radiographers and clinical and clerical support staff, and you’ll report to the Clinical Director of the care group.
Visits to the hospital would be welcomed from interested candidates; please contact Kathleen McDowall, Radiology Manager, on 01624 650432 or Kathleen.McDowall@gov.im to discuss this further.
What can this role offer me?
- By joining us you’ll be stepping away from NHS pressures and demands, as the Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the UK NHS.
- Competitive salary and annual leave entitlements
- Great on site facilities and free car parking
- We provide study leave with pay and expenses to attend approved conferences and workshops
- For candidates not on the Isle of Man we will reimburse your interview expenses and give you a relocation package of up to £9,000 to get you, your things and your family to the island. You will also be eligible for housing assistance to help contribute towards your mortgage or rent on the island
