Salaried GP opportunity - North End Medical Centre

Due to doctors locating further afield, we are recruiting for salaried GPs at the North End Medical Centre. 

We are a friendly practice in a modern bright building close to the bustling market of North End Road with excellent transport links (West Kensington Tube, West Brompton Overground)

With an established team of 8 partners we are looking to build our existing team of 5 salaried GP’s to deliver excellent care to our practice population in West Kensington. 

We care for 19,000 patients and our work is interesting and hugely rewarding. The roles are suited to either established or newly qualified GPs. We have a great track record of offering a supportive environment to newly qualified GP’s and are hugely supportive of SPIN fellowships. Over the last 5 years we have nurtured GP’s specialist interests in diabetes, lifestyle medicine, chronic pain, paediatrics, frailty and research. We run minor surgery and a diagnostic respiratory hubs for our PCN.

Time commitment is a minimum of 2 days per week but beyond that it’s about you, what you bring, and your values.

We can offer you a supportive environment and close teamwork, with daily pre-clinic huddles and weekly clinical meetings.  We offer flexibility on session times and allocate time for administration. 

We have a full clinical team including nursing and healthcare assistants, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, link workers/social prescribers and health coaches as part of our team.

We have worked hard to reduce traditional GP bureaucracy. Our in-house pharmacy team manages our prescribing and most of our QOF chronic disease management. Our workflow team keeps document processing management low and our medical secretary manages our referrals and offers a much needed interface with secondary care. Our quality and contracts team helps us to ensure that GPs are able to focus their time on areas where there is clinical need.

In addition to striving to provide excellent clinical care, we strongly believe in contributing to the voice of general practice in the UK. Many of our GPs are involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, form part of our partnership research team (which does more primary care research than any other PCN in London) or are involved in local borough and ICS clinical leadership. We have worked with our local GP and hospital colleagues to set up 'faculty' working in key clinical areas with the most complexity. 

North End Medical Centre is part of Hammersmith and Fulham Partnership PCN which is made up of five local sites in the centre of the borough, totalling 71,000 patients. The surgeries, Park Medical Centre, North End Medical Centre, Brook Green Medical Centre, The Bush Doctors, and Richford Gate Medical Practice run individual lists with cross site working in administrative and clinical areas. For example, we have a PCN-wide eHub for digital care requests.

Our structure affords resilience and provides the breadth and scale to respond and adapt to change promptly and effectively.  All five surgeries had CQC inspections last year and all achieved good overall with outstanding for leadership.
