Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

Arbury Court/St Mary’s Hospital, Warrington

As a Consultant Psychiatrist or Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, do you have experience working with male patients who have complex mental health and neurological care needs? Or are you passionate about the complex mental health care of women in a secure setting? If so, we have the perfect opportunity at Elysium Healthcare.

As the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering care programmes and providing individualised approaches to the treatment of inpatients. The role is for either one successful full-time candidate to work 10 sessions a week spilt evenly between the two services, Or for two part-time candidates who each wish to work for 5 sessions in one of the services. The role includes second on-call duties (currently 1 in 16 for full-time consultants) where you will have junior-level support every day.

The two services, St Mary’s Hospital and Arbury Court, are both situated close to Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and surrounding areas, making both hospitals highly commutable. St Mary’s provides specialist inpatient care primarily for men with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) in medium and low secure settings. Arbury Court provides a full specialised inpatient care pathway for adult women with a wide range of mental health difficulties in medium and low security, as well as a psychiatric intensive care (PICU) setting.
