Consultant Ophthalmologists and Associate Specialists

Newmedica is a leading ophthalmology provider to NHS England, providing outpatients appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery.  We aim to change lives through better sight and eye health. 

We care for more than 222,500 NHS and private patients a year in over 26 locations and we’re growing.  

We’re looking for Ophthalmologists to join our brilliant teams in Bristol Gloucester and Swindon.

A range of options are available including full/part employed roles and locum opportunities - a great opportunity to work at Newmedica alongside existing commitments. 

Consultant Ophthalmologists – supporting Clinics (Glaucoma including Virtual Review; General Ophthalmology, Pre & Post Op, YAG) and high-volume Cataract Surgery.  

Associate Specialists – General or subspecialty clinics including Glaucoma Pre & Post Op, YAG. 

Newmedica services are dedicated ophthalmology units with high quality clinical areas including theatre, consulting and treatment rooms with leading diagnostic equipment.

You’ll require a Current GMC Registration and license to practice and applicants for Consultant roles will need to be on the Specialist Register. You’ll also need substantial clinical experience undertaking high volume surgical and clinic activity.
