Great Yorkshire Psychiatry Event

9th June 2023, Hilton Hotel, York (9.30 a.m. – 3.30 p.m.)

Come and join us at this exciting recruitment event in the lovely city of York!

During the event you will find informative and interesting information to help you reflect and consider the many opportunities to develop a career as a psychiatrist in our Trust. There will be plenty of opportunities for informal, relaxed conversations with our medical leaders about all the exciting career opportunities we have on offer, including our attractive remuneration package with flexible working options.

The day will be centred around three 30 minutes workshop followed by discussions on the following themes.

10.00 am - Opportunities to shine as a medical educator in TEWV

Dr Hany El-Sayeh - Consultant Psychiatrist, Director of Medical Education

11.00 am - Opportunities to shine as a medical manager in TEWV.

Dr Tolu Olusoga - Consultant Psychiatrist and Group Medical Director -North Yorkshire, York and Selby Care Group

12.00 Noon - Opportunities to shine as clinical and/or research innovator

Dr Venkat Muthukrishnan - Consultant Psychiatrist, Training Programme Director - Core Psychiatry Training, North and East Yorkshire. Topol Fellow and Chief Clinical Information Officer.

These sessions will be followed by lunch and an afternoon visit to our impressive newly built Foss Park Hospital to meet our clinical teams, before the event closing mid-afternoon.

FAMILIES WELCOME!

Whilst you attend the event, we will be organising a tour of some of York’s historical attributes, such as the Yorvik themed attraction and the famous National Railway Museum, should you wish to bring your family along.

Limited places are available for free accommodation and this can be provided on the evening before or the evening of the event.
