Woodlands Health will be Singapore’s newest Public Healthcare Institution and will provide care to residents in northwest Singapore. Set to open progressively from the end of 2023, Woodlands Health Campus will feature a fully integrated acute and community hospital, specialist outpatient clinics, intermediate and long-term care facilities, and green healing spaces. We will offer a range of acute, sub-acute, rehabilitative and transitional care services, working closely with our partners to provide seamless care within and beyond our Campus. When fully opened, Woodlands Health will operate 1400 beds across 3 care settings.

Woodlands Health is a member of the National Healthcare Group; which provides care through an integrated network of primary care polyclinics, acute care and tertiary hospitals and national specialty centres to one third of Singapore’s population. Clinicians within NHG are actively engaged in Clinical Research and Education through affiliations with Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

We are currently looking for a Consultant Chemical Pathologist to join us on this exciting journey in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology service.

Candidates should demonstrate good teamwork and communication skills, strong working knowledge of laboratory operations, and a commitment to quality improvement. Candidates are expected to have clinical oversight of the Biochemistry and Point-of-Care Testing sections of the laboratory, help the laboratory to ensure compliance with local regulations and internationally recognised accreditation standards, and participate in quality assurance programmes and institutional or departmental committees.

We are committed to supporting our staff’s professional development, and will provide opportunities to those who aspire to excel in the fields of Clinical Research and Education. Interested candidates must be registered or eligible for registration with the Singapore Medical Council, and hold a postgraduate qualification from the Royal College of Pathologists or the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, or a qualification recognised by these bodies.

We invite all eligible candidates to join us in shaping the future of healthcare in sunny Singapore!
