Reporting To:  RCSI - Head of School of Medicine and assigned Beaumont Clinical Director

Contract Type:  Consultant Contract 2008, Type B, Academic (Professor), Full time, Permanent

Note: The successful candidate will be eligible to take up the new Slaintecare Consultant Contract 2023 following its’ implementation

Hours: 37 hours per week – split evenly (18.5 hours each) between RCSI and Beaumont Hospital

Location: Beaumont Hospital, RCSI’s Smurfit Education & Research Centre (ERC); Beaumont Hospital and RCSI

RCSI Responsibilities:

The RCSI School of Medicine is the largest medical school in Ireland. This post is a full Chair and Professor post. This critical role drives the ongoing innovation and delivery of the undergraduate teaching programme. It also provides an innovative platform for excellence in research in Radiology.

Beaumont Hospital:

There has never been a more exciting and stimulating time from a Radiology perspective at Beaumont Hospital. The successful post holder will provide support and expertise to hospital clinicians and general practitioners, by performing and interpreting clinically relevant tests in order to facilitate the diagnosis, treatment and further monitoring of their patients.

Interview and presentation:

All shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview. The process will also include the preparation and delivery of a role-relevant presentation (details will be shared with shortlisted candidates in advance), and a competence-based interview.
