Outreach clinics are currently held at the Scunthorpe General Hospital.

The Immunology Laboratory is based at the Hull Royal Infirmary and forms part of a new integrated Pathology Department opened in 2000. The Immunology Laboratory has UKAS accreditation and takes part in all relevant NEQAS schemes. It is expected that the post holder will assist other consultants in laboratory management. The team comprises of three medical consultants (including this post), one consultant clinical scientist, one specialty trainee in immunology, two clinical nurse specialists, three senior staff nurses and an auxiliary nurse.

The department is well-established and actively involved in national and international studies; it has strong links with the Hull York Medical School.
