We're looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic leader to come and be part of our journey towards building a new hospital and shaping the future direction of urgent and emergency care.
We aim to deliver excellent clinical outcomes and a great experience for everyone who uses our services: exceptional healthcare, personally delivered. We treat some of the most difficult medical conditions in an increasingly complex patient population.
As our Divisional Director for Urgent and Emergency Care, you will inspire our people and push the boundaries of innovation and quality of care working in partnership with our colleagues across our Integrated Healthcare System. Your role will be pivotal in delivering the leadership, guidance and developing new models of improving care on our journey to excellence.
You will have 4 PAs dedicated to divisional leadership, with the remainder PAs within your speciality or opportunity to discuss.
Main duties of the job
- To lead the development and implementation of the division's strategy, including identifying opportunities for growing, improving, and re-designing services in line with Trust's objectives.
- To lead by example, actively promoting and role-modelling the behaviour and the divisional teams' vision and values. To promote a culture that is patient focussed and where high-quality care is delivered according to the best available evidence.
- To work in a triumvirate with the Divisional Associate Directors and Divisional Heads of Service, Clinical Directors to provide leadership and strategic direction for the division.

As the divisional Director, you will be supported by a management lead (Associate Director of Operations) and a nurse lead (Divisional Associate Director of Nursing) and divisional management team.

- Clinical Registration - GMC
- Further evidence of management/leadership training and continuous professional development
Experience and knowledge

- Extensive experience at a senior level in a complex environment, including a sound understanding of the performance and governance requirements
- Significant track record of achievement as a leader which demonstrates significant successes through innovation and a strong but sensitive style, which contributes directly to the patient experience and continuous improvement
