This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment for five (5) years at 64 hours per fortnight (0.80FTE), with the possibility of extension. 

Position Profile: The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) are seeking dynamic and experienced candidates for the position of Consultant Paediatric Cardiology. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist medical/surgical Cardiology Services to patients. You will be able to:

  • Promote patient quality and safety by providing leadership, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training and other health workers in collaboration with other Consultants and the Clinical Director/Head of Department.
  • Work within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the Health Service Credentialing Committee.

CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
