We are looking to appoint an exceptional clinical academic to a Chair in Neurology in our Molecular and Clinical Sciences Institute. This is an exceptional opportunity funded by the Dowager Countess Eleanor Peel Trust to support research into ageing. 

The postholder will be appointed to the Eleanor Peel Chair for the Study of Ageing and will have the titles of Professor of Neurology at the university and honorary neurology consultant at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where they will join the senior clinical team at the Atkinson Morley Regional Neuroscience Centre. The postholder will lead their own research programme but also convene an interdisciplinary healthy ageing theme across the university.  

Neurosciences is a priority area for further development in the university from its current strong base, while Atkinson Morley Regional Neuroscience Centre is a busy tertiary referral centre providing high-quality specialist care to patients from a large catchment area.  We are keen to engage with outstanding candidates who have an internationally competitive research track record in a field of neuroscience relevant to ageing and are also experienced clinicians with an established reputation in their neurological subspecialty.
