Our permanent workforce of over 28,000 delivers a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute hospital services to a population of over 850,000 people. We have 21 hospitals, 119 GP practices, 182 community pharmacies, 173 general dental practices and 127 optometry practices. As a regional centre, we also provide some services for patients in neighbouring areas and we are a national centre of expertise for other specialties, serving people across Scotland.
We have recently invested in a brand-new children’s hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children & Young People, and a new state of the art Department for Clinical Neurosciences. Now is also an exciting time to join our ophthalmology and oncology teams as we embark on plans to invest significant capital into building leading treatment and research centres.
