Applications are invited for the full time post of Consultant Emergency Physician to join our Team of 20 highly committed Consultant Emergency Physicians (current WTE 18.5).

Post to start as soon as possible. Successful candidates will join our existing team of 18.5 WTE highly committed consultants.

The appointee will share with the other Consultants responsibility for the initial care and reception of all patients attending the Emergency Department. There will be continuing responsibility for those patients who remain under the care of the Emergency Department.

The department comprises a fully equipped Resuscitation room with eight bays, Majors treatment areas with 18 cubicles, and a separate Minor Injury and Illness area. The department is currently undergoing a rebuild due to be completed in 2023, giving a separate childrens ED with co-located paediatric assessment area in addition to the current estate.
