Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust is welcoming applications for the position of Consultant Radiologist.

You will be joining our existing team of 7 Radiologists and will be expected demonstrate a high level of radiology clinical experience and competence. Additionally, development of sub-specialty areas of interest in addition to core skills will be encouraged.

The Radiology Directorate provides the following Services on the Southport and Formby District General Hospital site: Plain Radiography, General Ultrasound, Obstetric Ultrasound, Doppler Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Vascular Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Computerised Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Bone Mineral Densitometry. The Directorate provides the following Services on the Ormskirk District General Hospital site: Plain Radiography, General Ultrasound, Obstetric Ultrasound, Doppler Ultrasound, Computerised Tomography, Mammography and Dental Radiography including Paediatric services.

It is essential you have full GMC Registration and be included on the Specialist Register, or be within 6 months of CCT/CESR at the time of interview.

The out of hours emergency radiology service is currently provided by a third party provider and as a result there is currently no on-call commitment.

Some travel will be required as trust operates across two sites, 20 minutes apart.
