We have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant in Palliative Medicine to join us and contribute to shaping the future of our progressive Hospice.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing consultant input for patients living in the areas of Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth. You will manage patients in their homes, on the inpatient unit and on occasion support the hospital palliative care team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
Together with your four consultant colleagues you will strengthen connections with other local health care providers and develop the services required for this fast changing health care environment.
We have an established reputation as an independent hospice with excellence in clinical practice, research and education. We champion services like Hospice @ Home and an innovative Community Development Team.
Applications will also be considered from those:
- who have submitted their CESR application and awaiting a decision from the GMC
- a locum appointment would be made in the first instance with a view to becoming substantive
- are anticipating gaining their CCT within the next 6 months
For informal enquiries please contact our Medical Lead Dr Gill Foster, gillian.foster@nhs.scot or Telephone: 01324 826222.
Applications should be in the form of a CV and emailed to Irene McKie, Chief Executive by clicking the Apply button.
