Job Details

Epsom and St. Helier are looking for a physicians associate working cross site.

The post holder will be accountable for ensuring patient care is of it's high standard as well as the standard of care and treatment meet the departments requirement's.

The PA will be supervised by the designated consultant with individual mentorship to overview career development.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities-

  • Assess and examine acute emergency department patients
  • develop and maintain extensive knowledge and experience in emergency medicine.
  • contribute to achieving and maintaining key performance indicators within emergency medicine.

Job responsibilities

the post holder will be joining a team of 12 PA's who have been an integral staff group in the department since 2013.

The PA will provide expert evidence based advice and clinical expertise within the ED department working collaborative and co - operatively with others to meet patients needs.

Key relationships with staff-

  • consultants
  • ED senior management
  • Matrons
  • ED doctors, nurses, clinical site management teams
  • HCA'S
  • reception staff.


Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
  • Member of the faculty of physicians associate.
Experience
Essential
  • A minimum of 6 months experience working within the NHS.
  • ED experience within the NHS.
