We are looking for a Consultant Dermatologist to join our team on the beautiful Isle of Man, where we are aiming to become the best small Island-based health and care system!

About the hospital and service

Noble’s and Ramsey & District Cottage Hospitals provide a comprehensive service for patients with skin cancer, serving a rural geographical area of 220 square miles with a population of approximately 85,000.

The Skin Service is primarily based at Ramsey District & Cottage Hospital where there is a dedicated skin and plastic surgery suite with excellent theatre and consulting room facilities. Phototherapy (UVB and PUVA) has been based at Noble’s Hospital but will be moved to Ramsey in the near future.

The service currently comprise a visiting Consultant Dermatologist, one Consultant Dermatologist (this post) and one Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. The team are supported by 2 clinical nurse specialists to provide support for skin cancer patients and patients with chronic skin conditions in delivering independent clinics, clinical governance activities and a GP with Extended Role who provides clinics and minor surgery.

You will provide a comprehensive general dermatology service to the Island, including the management of inflammatory skin diseases and skin cancers, and support the acute medical and surgical teams with skin-related clinical problems.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
