NHS Tayside are seeking a committed, innovative, and forward-thinking General Practitioner to join an enthusiastic team at Lochee Medical Practice to deliver and develop primary care services.

This post provides a unique opportunity for a GP to combine up to 20 hours of clinical practice work as part of a GP team, combined with up to 20 hours to lead on clinical service redesign in drug harm reduction models & enhanced patient reviews.

Lochee offers a supportive environment to work as part of an extended multi-disciplinary, multi agency healthcare team, providing general medical services to a local population.

The role is primarily based in our purpose built health centre in the heart of the Lochee community. You will work as a key member of the GP team & will maintain the core values of general practice to provide safe, person centred care.

Clinicians are supported by a full complement of NHS Tayside employed staff including practice management, practice nurses, community nursing, practice pharmacist, social prescribing and health visiting teams.

The practice is open 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. We are keen to support work life balance, and are open to flexible working arrangements.

Should post-holders wish, there may be opportunities to participate in the regional Out of Hours service, with appropriate remuneration.

Developing and nurturing our GP workforce is a priority for us in Tayside, and this post offers (pro rata) the equivalent of 33 days annual leave, in addition to 10 days study leave per annum (with £1,000/year study budget for 3 years).

This role also includes the opportunity to have study time and funding to complete the RCGP Management of Drug Misuse Levels 1 (mandatory) and 2.
