General Practitioner (Salaried)
Benefit from working as a salaried GP within a vibrant and happy teaching practice. We occupy a modern, spacious purpose-built multi-occupancy building at the Fountains Health Building in the centre of Chester.
We are looking for a salaried GP to work 4-5 sessions per week.
You would work alongside very supportive GPs, who operate an open-door policy where sharing ideas is widely encouraged, where we prioritise work life balance and at the same time strive to provide excellent patient care.
Our team includes an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurses and a HCA and is complimented by an excellent secretarial/ admin team.
The surgery offers monthly clinics for implant and IUD fittings.
The practice is a member of the Chester Central PCN which offers our patients appointments with a Clinical Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Mental Health Councillor, Paramedic for home visits, Health &, Wellbeing coach, Dietician, Occupational Therapist and a Care-Coordinator. Our GP Partner is Co-Clinical Director.

Salaried GP
Responsible to: GP Partners / Practice Manager
Job Purpose:
- Provision of GMS service to the Practice population.
- Effective clinical administration, audit and management.
- Contribute to the development of the Practice business
Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertake all the duties associated with the role of a General Practitioner required by the GMS contract.
- Comply with all the objectives of the GMS Contract.
- Support and contribute to the development of Practice clinical procedures and protocols
- Accurate and timely input of patient data onto the clinical system
- Carrying out clinical audit as appropriate
- Completion of reports for solicitors, insurance companies and others
- Liaise with other health care professionals when required
- Act in a way that protects the confidentiality of patients and maintains the integrity of the patient / Practice relationship
- Take an active role and contribute to Practice meetings
- Support the development and compliance of the Practice Health and Safety policy
- Take on Lead responsibilities in any agreed area of clinical management
- Participate in the GP appraisal scheme
- Maintain medical currency in line with your Personal Development Plan
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the Practice
- Work safely at all times in accordance with Legislative requirements and Practice Policy and Procedures.
