SPECIALTY DOCTOR IN SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTHCARE

HIGHLAND SEXUAL HEALTH RAIGMORE HOSPITAL,

INVERNESS PART TIME (1PA /4 HOURS PER WEEK)

FIXED TERM CONTRACT TILL 31ST MARCH 2023

£45,193 TO £84,272 PER ANNUM (PRO RATA)

 

Applications are invited from enthusiastic doctors to join our integrated Highland Sexual Health team.  You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in intrauterine contraception procedures as a Specialty Doctor in Sexual & Reproductive Health and to support the provision of our Level 3 trauma informed sexual health service for the population of North Highland.  The post would suit individuals with experience in Women’s Health, General Practice or Sexual & Reproductive Health, as an adjunct to their current roles. Highland Sexual Health provides a comprehensive range of services including Sexual & Reproductive Health, HIV medicine, Genitourinary Medicine (GUM) and Gender Identity. The service provides open access, confidential integrated sexual health care such as STI management and contraception as well as access via formal referral for specialist and complex care such as Gender Identity, sexual dysfunction and menopause.

There is currently one session available, on a Thursday afternoon, based at Raigmore Hospital. This is an intrauterine procedure clinic with 30 minute appointments, allowing for 6 procedures including emergency IUC appointments and admin time.

There is no on-call or out of hours commitment for this post. You must be fully registered with the GMC and have completed at least four year’s full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent) at least two of which will be in a relevant specialty training programme, or have equivalent experience contraception and sexual health. The successful candidate must hold the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health (FSRH) Letter of Competence in Intrauterine Techniques (LoC IUT).
