Salaried GP

Whetstone Lane Medical Centre (www.whetstonemc.nhs.uk) in Birkenhead are looking for a Salaried GP to join the team for 4 to 6 sessions per week. We’re in an area of high, social and economic deprivation and we embrace all the challenges this brings. We are a forward-thinking Partnership that’s receptive to change and we’re supported by a fun and friendly team. 

It’s an ideal opportunity for someone to make a real difference and enjoy a good work / life balance with the beautiful surroundings of Wales, the Lake District and Peak District close by. The practice is situated on the Wirral Peninsula with good local schools nearby and within easy reach of Chester, Liverpool & Manchester. 

We’re a training practice, and recently awarded GP Practice of the Year 2022 by the students of University of Liverpool. Our senior partner was awarded the Most Supportive GP Tutor of 2022!

What you need to know:

• We’re an established Partnership of 4 GP’s supported by a salaried GP
• 8,500 patient list size
• We offer 15-minute appointments 
• Flexible start and finish times with a share of duty cover
• Opportunity to work from home one session per week
• Medical indemnity paid
• A brilliant nursing team and a team of 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
• An experienced reception, administration, and information management team
• Special interests encouraged
• Close working relationship with 6 other PCN practices with a PCN pharmacist attending the practice
